Cuore Mio

Granoro’s Cuore Mio pasta is made from a mixture of raw materials grown in Italy, good-quality durum wheat semolina and flour made from a particular barley cultivar with a high beta-glucan content. Beta-glucan is a soluble fibre that helps reduce blood cholesterol levels, thus helping to protect against the risk of cardiovascular illnesses.

Consumed as part of a balanced, low-fat diet and combined with a healthy, active lifestyle, regular consumption of a portion of Granoro Cuore Mio pasta (100 g uncooked weight, which becomes 200 g when cooked), gives an intake of 3 g of beta-glucan fibre (substance found naturally in barley flour mixed with durum wheat semolina). That is equal to the daily intake (minimum 3 g) deemed effective by the EFSA in reducing blood cholesterol levels, in particular LDL, or “bad” cholesterol levels.

In addition, a 100 g portion of uncooked Granoro Cuore Mio pasta (which becomes 200 g when cooked) also contains (in addition to 3 g of beta-glucan fibre) a considerable amount of dietary fibre, more than 7 g, meaning Granoro Cuore Mio pasta can be classed as a high-fibre food.

Granoro Cuore Mio pasta helps sustain our wellbeing without compromising on the taste of a delicious first course, because it is good, flavoursome and as elastic as pasta made using only durum wheat semolina.
